Guitarist Steve Cardenas and bassist Ben Allison are two of NYC’s most talented jazz musicians. Steve Cardenas has worked with many jazz greats that includes Paul Motian, Charlie Haden and has recently been asked to join the Brian Blade fellowship for the upcoming dates at NYC Village Vangaurd.
Ben Allison has played with many jazz greats including as Lee Konitz. Ben is an established bandleader and composer with many recording to his own name.
The clinic will touch on the music of Jim Hall. Steve and Ben are currently working on a project around NYC titled, “The music of Jim Hall.” During the clinic, they will also talk about improvising over changes and accompanying in a duo situation. This workshop is not to be missed if you’re a jazz guitarist, bassist or a jazz enthusiast.
