If you’re a strummer or a singer looking for new ways to express yourself this workshop is for you! The unique “vocal-like” quality of the dobro makes it one of the most expressive instruments around. If you can sing it you can play it on the dobro!
In this workshop you’ll learn all the basic right and left hand techniques you need to get started playing lap-style slide. Your instructor - Rob Anderlik - is also a guitarist and will show you how to take what you already know and apply it to lap-slide guitar. You’ll learn to use your ear to pick out melody lines as well as some cool rhythm patterns to back up your voice or sit in at a jam session or second half at the Old Town School!
