Steve Dahl notwithstanding, much of the greatest, most groundbreaking pop music of the late ‘70s was made for the dance floor. We’ll trace the history of disco from Philly Soul and the Ohio Players through Chic and the Bee Gees to Cameo and Madonna. Though we’ll need four-on-the-floor drumming, a big bass line, and some ethereal voices, you can bring your guitar, too. And let’s not forget the strings!
