Bomba is an Afro-Puerto Rican musical art form mainly based on the improvisational conversation between the primo drum and the dancers. Bomba dances (or balls) where revived as a community practice in Carolina, Puerto Rico in 1994 by Hermanos Emmanuelli Náter under the name BOMBAZOS. Learn its rhythms, techniques, and the unspoken language of its dance in the Emmanuelli Náter school of knowledge and legacy. Class will be taught in English and Spanish.
