Kids Group Class / Fiddle & Cello Program

Designed for older kids, this beginning level class introduces our folk tradition violin method. As students gain the discipline of posture, position, left hand development, and bow technique, they thrive in a social learning environment—making music with peers outside of the daily routine of school. Through ear training, singing, dancing, and playing folk songs and fiddle tunes, students begin to develop tone, technique, and musicality.



The Kids’ Fiddle Program is aligned with other Kids’ and Adult programming allowing them to participate in a wide array of open jams and other musical events.


Parents will be encouraged to join the end of class and participate by singing, dancing and even playing along. Parent participation is crucial to the musical development of your child. Your knowledge will help you better understand how to help your child at home. Please come for the last 15 minutes to stay current.
