Sing through various standards, learning by imitation and getting to know the concept of each one. Know the great jazz composers and jazz vocalists, both classic and current. Choose different ways of listening while giving and receiving feedback in this class where people perform as a way of practicing. In this class, you will advance to a more creative level: Write a blues, learn transposition and prepare four jazz standards with varying feels. In the last week of class students perform their blues and two songs for an enraptured audience.
