Yvonne W. Huntley is a native of New York and received her Bachelor of Music from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. She also holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before completing studies towards her DMA Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Maryland , she spent several semesters as a non-matriculated student in piano performance at Roosevelt University. Ms. Huntley has performed as a solo recitalist, and in chamber groups in New York, North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
Music reviewers in Charleston, SC praised her playing as expressive, dynamic, and lyrical in her performances of works by Liszt and Villa Lobos when she performed at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
Ms. Huntley holds national certification in MTNA.
