Originally from Alabama, Shaun’s musical journey began when he was a young child. He sang his first solo in church at age 2 and began violin lessons at age 4 after a trip to the Grand Ole Opry. He is keenly aware of the impact music has on a person, especially a child. Being exposed to music at an early age had a major role in shaping his personality. It has instilled in him a drive, a refusal to give anything less than his best, an attentive ear, and a patience for the learning process. As an actor, musician, composer, and music director in Chicago, he has worked with Chicago Shakespeare, Drury Lane Oakbrook, TUTA, Strawdog, Blindfaith, Redmoon, and Provision. He just came off of a 6-year stint with Million Dollar Quartet (MDQ), Chicago’s longest running Broadway musical, as Carl Perkins. With MDQ, he was privileged to perform at the Pritzker Pavilion, US Cellular Field, Wrigley Field, United Center (Bulls Halftime), WBEZ, Misericordia, Illinois State Fair, Thanksgiving Day Parade, Montrose Beach (opening for Huey Lewis and the News), and many others. He is a songwriter and plays guitar, bass, violin, piano, banjo, and mandolin.
