Sam Brownson

Wiggleworms Program

Sam is a teacher and program coordinator for Wiggleworms at the Old Town School. He has been a recording artist, musician and early childhood educator in Chicago for over 5 years. An MSW candidate in early childhood mental health at Erikson Institute, Sam, aka “Mister Sam”, has performed hundreds of children’s programs around Chicago and has designed developmentally-informed music classes for multiple early childhood enrichment centers, including Tiny Tunes Studio and Kidville Lincoln Park.

As a recording artist, Sam has worked as an audio engineer and producer at Rax Trax Studios in Lakeview, and was the guitarist, singer and producer of the acclaimed dream folk trio Sedgewick, named Chicago’s “Best New Folk Music Act of 2014” by Newcity Magazine. His solo singer/songwriter work has been licensed to numerous ad campaigns, including Lipton Tea and Cogeco Inc.
