Olivia Flanigan is a singer, music educator, writer, and pianist based out of Chicago. She began singing in classical choirs at a young age and found a passion for singing. At the encouragement of her artistic family, she studied Jazz Voice at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Jazz Studies. She has arranged for and directed Jazz Vocal Ensembles, developed curriculum, and taught private voice and piano lessons. Recently, Olivia was the Director of Jazz Voice at Universidad San Fransisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador, which is a Global Partner of Berklee College of Music.
Olivia enjoys writing and performing her own material, as well as straight-ahead jazz, and performs frequently at both public and private events. She enjoys getting to know students, and finding ways to enhance their skill and connection to music. She is dedicated to healthful singing and encouraging self expression.
