Irish Step Dance
Katie Fitzpatrick is a certified Irish Dance teacher (T.C.R.G.) with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha (the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland) and the North American and Mid-American Irish Dance Teachers Associations and is fully certified to teach Irish Step Solo, Figure, and Céilí Dancing. She has taught for the McNulty School of Irish Dance for more than ten years. It is her goal for each and every student to feel confident dancing individually and as a team, appreciate the traditional and contemporary styles of Irish dance, and stay challenged and engaged by continually learning and perfecting new material.
Katie is also a strategic communications consultant. Her career includes stints with Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and most recently, FTI Consulting, a global business advisory firm. This unique cross-sector experience has provided Katie with skills and expertise across a range of internal and external communications functions. She holds dual master’s degrees in policy (International Government and Business from the University College Cork in Ireland and Political Science and Civic Leadership from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana) and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois.
Started at the Old Town School in April of 2019
