Geoff Dolce comes from a musical family and is the 4th generation to become a professional musician. His approach to teaching follows his belief that there's more than one correct way to do things. He tailors his method to your unique strengths. These are lessons where you move at your own pace and learn material that gets you stoked about music.
Dolce knows some students benefit from theory and others do not. It's a lot like Algebra. If it scares you then it's best to avoid it! His students learn as much or as little theory and reading as they choose.
Dolce conducts lessons with a dry sense of humor, a keen ear, good listening skills and a patient demeanor. Trained from an early age, he earned a Bachelor's of Music in 2003 from DePaul University where he studied with Mark Maxwell and Bob Palmieri. Some of the groups he has performed with include G. Dolce, Lacona, The Astronomer, Bevel, Box of Baby Birds, Cursive, Head of Femur, and Brighton MA.
