Diane has studied and performed a variety of dance forms since childhood. Starting out with ballet and tap as a child, in her teen/adult years, she added modern/jazz, Russian/Czech, Scandinavian and Polynesian dance to her repetoire. While she has studied with numerous teachers, including members of the New York City Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Jose LImon, Joel Hall and Joseph Holmes dance companies, Diane credits Betsy Herskind with being the instructor who provided her with a solid ballet base upon which she developed her other techniques.
Diane has performed with a number of dance troupes, the Urban Gateways program and in numerous musicals. Diane holds a BA degree in early childhood education (Northeastern Illinois University) and was additionally a dance major at the University of Illinois (Urbana). She is state certified to teach K-9th grades in Illinois. From 2004 to 2006, Diane was a lead educator at the Chicago Children's Museum on Navy Pier. In 2008, she was inducted into the Delta Kappa Gamma International Educator Society. Diane began teaching children's dance and theatre classes at the Old Town School in April 2003.
