Cat is a teacher, performer, recording artist, songwriter and arts administrator who has been pouring her heart into the Old Town School since 2000, when she took her first guitar class there. Since then, she's run the School's Human Resources, Finance and Marketing Departments as well as served as the Assistant Director for the Education Programs while running the Private Lesson Program. She also worked as a Day of Show Producer for the School's concert series. In 2012, she left her full time job at the School and continues to do what she enjoys most - teaching.
A musician since childhood, Cat plays whatever instrument she can figure out and loves to put that challenge out to her students. Anyone can play anything. And a group of people making noise together is the best kind of music to make (and the best place to try something new).
You can hear Cat on the two albums she put out with Sweet Hello, a folk-pop band she fronted with long time friend and Old Town School colleague Laura Doherty. She also performs "The Water is Wide" on the Old Town School songbook recordings on Bloodshot Records and sings backing vocals on Laura Doherty's award winning children's album "Shining Like A Star".
