Teachers at the Old Town School

Brian O’Neill

Kids’ Piano

Brian is originally from the Michigan mitten. Brian is a high school and middle school Music Education teacher in Chicago. Brian also works as a private piano and voice teacher. Brian believes in the importance of continuing education. This is why Brian has continued studies as an educator throughout the years, earning a bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics and science at Western Michigan University, master’s in differentiated instruction from Concordia University, and lastly music education at DePaul University. Additionally, Brian holds a Kodály Level 1 Certification from DePaul University School of Music. Brian enjoys working with youth choirs to create art that changes hearts. If Julie Andrews was here asking to list a few favorite things, the following would be at the top: drawing, painting, playing piano, singing, tiny houses, camping, jazz, running, and The Pentatonix. Brian looks forward to getting to know students and to creating beautiful art!
