Ann Schaefer is an early childhood professional that has been nurturing children with songs and rhythms since 2006. She strives to build a classroom community that meets individuals where they are and encourages everyone to participate and contribute to the music in their own unique way. As a performer, Ann has toured with choral groups abroad and throughout Chicagoland. As an ensemble member with Chicago Choral Artists, she was a featured soloist in many concerts and can be heard on the 2010 recording, Peace & Reconciliation. Ann loves working with young children and introducing them to the songs that will underscore their early milestones and celebrations. Her educational philosophy is derived from knowledge of child development, and the importance of play, autonomy, creativity, and exploration in early childhood. The joy and connection music fosters, especially when working with young children, is incredible. Ann is very excited to facilitate those experiences in Wiggleworms classes.
