Kati Golenko is a Polish-American nuevo flamenco guitarist and singer based in Madrid, Spain. Building on her traditional flamenco training, Kati explores the boundaries of convention to find new avenues of expression for the genre.

Her current project, Flamenco Americana, intertwines American jazz, rock and pop with complex flamenco rhythms arranged by Miguel Reyes Jiménez. Singing in English and Spanish, Kati shows that flamenco has the capacity to be interpreted and sung in other languages. Together with Miguel Reyes Jimenez (percussionist), Ronaldo Monge, (flamenco dancer) and Hugo Salcedo (flamenco guitarist and bass player), Kati invites us to build a bridge between continents and cultures. In Flamenco Americana, the artists express their international life journeys without losing focus on the complexity and traditions of flamenco.
