Hailing from Mexico, theatre artist, vocalist, and educator Laura Crotte recreates myths and stories celebrating the Mexican holiday of Dia de Los Muertos. This musical show features Pre-Hispanic and Spanish colonial legends using traditional masks, puppets, rhymes and songs. This magical and colorful experience will immerse audiences in the ancient tradition, explaining the real origin of LA CATRINA, elegantly attired skeleton, now icon of this holiday. Poetry, archeology, paintings, and ceramics will be shared to understand the profound meaning of the ofrendas honoring our ancestors.
