The Global Dance Party series offers an exciting opportunity to experiment with dance styles from around the globe. Each evening will feature a dance class followed by two hours of music from live bands or DJs in our Myron R. Szold Music & Dance Hall.
Founder Ricardo "Rico" Rosario established Los Hermanos Del Tambor in 2013 with the help of local musician and teacher Isabelino "Silo" Landor, in an effort to unify percussionist in the city. Soon artist Luis Rivera and Musical Director Michael Rodríguez join the cause and Los Hermanos Del Tambor are now using their gift in Afro-Latin percussion to teach, perform, and bring drummers together in Brotherhood. Their repertoire includes classics, as well as original compositions played in the styles of Cuban Rumba and Puerto Rican bomba and plena.
