  • Melanie Budd

Melanie Budd crafts a unique brand of introspective, roots-rock that speaks directly to the heart. A Chicago-based songwriter and performer, Budd's Kansas upbringing and involvement in the vibrant Chicago music scene deeply inform her music, grounding it with raw emotion, honest empathy and hopeful optimism. Budd steeps her songs in the richly detailed portraits of singer/songwriters like Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin and Joni Mitchell.

This concert celebrates the release of Melanie's second album, Remedy, produced by Chicago-based songwriter and producer, Steve Dawson.

    Kathy Greenholdt

Kathy Greenholdt is a Chicago singer-songwriter who explores the spirituality of human desires, the natural world, and the Divine. This concert marks the release of her sixth album, The Pilgrim.

At age 38, Kathy learned to play guitar at the Old Town School of Folk Music and began writing songs. Since that time, her music has been played on radio stations across the country and around the world. Of her last album, When You're Dead, WXRT's Richard Milne said, "[Kathy has] the ability to create music of a powerful nature - deceptively powerful…her voice is unlike any I've ever heard.”
