This presentation examines the rich and ongoing history of hip-hop culture through demonstration and participation. Students will see the types of movements that make up American urban social dance and discuss how the late 1940s Lindy and Swing are the roots of current movement. Audience members join in to explore self-expression through movement and rhyme.
