Racial Justice Conversations with Tonika Lewis Johnson

As a part of the School’s new commitment to equity and racial justice, we’re excited to offer an opportunity to learn with Englewood-based visual artist and activist Tonika Lewis Johnson. Recently, Tonika shared her celebrated work, the “Folded Map Project,” with OTS faculty, staff, and board. She will build on our previous conversations by introducing two new projects that also address how all communities are impacted by the socio-racial and institutional conditions that inform Chicago’s entrenched segregation. We highly recommend that participants screen the Folded Map Project film prior to our upcoming facilitated discussions with Tonika.

Conversations will take place virtually - invitation links will be sent to registrants prior to the date.
