This class explores pop and rock-inspired and infused chamber music through unique arrangements of current pop and rock tunes. Repertoire is open to input from students. Possibilities include -- but are not limited to! -- arrangements of Top 40 hits, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Head and the Heart, and others. Sharpen your skills in playing multi-part arrangements, interpretation of rock/pop styles for different instrumentations, sight-reading, and how to approach optional solo sections, for those inclined and curious to improvise! This class is open to all advanced instrumentalists.
