Kaiju Daiko

Taiko drumming is a powerful force both sonically and visually. Local Taiko group Kaiju Daiko is sure to command the attention of every festival-goer this year with their musicality, unique costumes and drums, and sheer physical gusto. Members of Kaiju Daiko have studied Japanese Taiko drumming in Japan and the United States with members of Kodo including Yoshikazu Fujimoto, Eichi Saito, Leonard Eto, and Grand Master Seiichi Tanaka. Kaiju Daiko endeavors to share a dynamic form of drumming and to break down racial stereotypes. Plus, they just rock! |
