Emily Hurd
Sunday, July 9th at 2:55pm on the Main Stage

Thoughtful, telling lyrics and an organic sound to match, Chicagoan Emily Hurd’s creative and performance savvy is fresh, evocative, and bold. Born in Rockford, IL, Emily began playing piano at age six and never looked back! She followed her music and her muse to New York and back again where she did some serious music study at Northwestern University. Combining this musical knowledge with life experience makes for a riveting listen and performance. Acoustic piano is her instrument of choice and her rich and inflective voice fills each song with its own distinctive texture

“The album leaves you wanting to hear more of Emily’s acoustic piano material . . . . intensely introspective piano-based compositions. Her approach to songwriting yields big results.” - Rock River Times
