Ozomatli
Sunday, July 10th at 8:15PM on the Main Stage

Ozomatli is a potent musical mixture without boundaries and they are carrying the message from the streets of East L.A. to get up, get involved, to think for yourself, and to dance. Their music is an effortless mix of Latin salsa, jazz, funk, and hip-hop, and that's all in within one song. Their burning live shows are known worldwide to be a totally interactive experience filled with boundless energy and a palpable enthusiasm for the sound they make and the message they bring.

"The army of east L.A. musicians known as Ozomatli (whose name originates from that of the Aztec god of dance) have caused an immediate sensation with their incendiary live shows and hyperkinetic mix of styles that bridge the gap between African, Latin and American music. At their blazing best, Ozomatli take the finest of '70s funk and give it an energetically contemporary twist of the arm".
