  • Argentine Folklore with contemporary influences

Belén Mackinlay is an Argentinian folk music singer. She has released two albums — Trébol blanco and Huella—, which have earned her the praise of specialized critics and public. Belén's repertoire is characterized by a personal and modern perspective that combines Argentine folk with an innovative edge.

Her repertoire incluyes traditional Argentine songs as well as new compositions by great contemporary folklorists. At a point where folk at its most traditional fuses with the cadences of jazz, Belén Mackinlay and her band manage to create a singular sound that successfully conveys the universality and emotion of the lyrics, and invite listeners to revisit Argentine folk music from a modern perspective. Santiago Leibson and Carlos Rivero, who provide a flawlessly harmonious accompaniment to Belén's voice, are an amazing blend of Argentine folk and jazz expertise.

“…During her performance, Belén delighted the audience with her abundant and colorful repertoire: in a pleasant blend with the cadence of jazz, the beautiful sounds of Latin American folklore, enhanced by her voice, captivated the public…” La Verdad, Buenos Aires
