A local who's been “round the world and back again,” Kristin Lems started singing contemporary folk music and writing memorable, catchy songs as a teenager in the in the 60's. In the 70's she started singing for countless rallies and benefits for the women's movement, founded the National Women's Music Festival, now celebrating its 40th year and released her first single, "Mammary Glands."
New Yorker magazine calls Kristin a “charmer in the most literal and least artificial sense of the word.” Her witty and inventive songs, her crystalline voice, skilled guitar and piano arrangements, and warm stage presence have won her fans of all ages. This concert marks the release of Kristin's 8th album, You, Me, and All of the Above, featuring 13 of her finest new tunes, backed by some of Chicago's top instrumental and vocal talent and produced by L.A.-based bass player and long time friend, Lynn Keller.
