The Global Dance Party is a new Friday night series offering an exciting opportunity to experiment with dance styles from around the globe. Each evening will feature a dance class followed by two hours of music from live bands or DJs in our brand new Myron R. Szold Music & Dance Hall.

Count the Days is a new Roots & Soul band, lead by Chicago musician and Old Town School Soul Ensemble teacher Bill Brickey and featuring Alton Smith, Tom Ryan, David Sims, Lydia Merrill, Emma Jubinski and Katie Patton. While dancers will recognize the hip hop and funk vibe that surrounds this band the percussive elements aspire to the soul and Latin roots of dance. Celebrate with them as they hone their craft to perfection and merge that slow bump and grind groove with the feverish intensity of Latin Dance music!
Boogie McClarin will teach a soul/hip-hop dance lesson at 8:30 PM.
