The Global Dance Party is a new series on Fridays that offers an exciting opportunity for the Old Town School community to experiment with dance styles from around the globe. Each night will feature a dance class at 8:30 PM followed by two hours of dance music by dance bands and DJs.
In the mood for Haitian Roots Racine, Reggae or African Hi-Life? How about a little of each all wrapped into one? Pa Doute will, no doubt, bring the sound of Haiti, the Caribbean and West Africa all wrapped into one. Pa Doute is the fresh new project of accomplished Haitian artist Donald Dorcilus and a host of his equally well-known friends.
DJ David Chavez of Sound Culture Chicago will be spinning during breaks.
