Neal Alger’s Blue Note Quartet
Neal Alger's Blue Note Quartet was formed with intent of exposing classic and obscure tunes from the vast Blue Note record label catalog to jazz fans. The Quartet revives numerous compositions from such talented composers as Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, Sonny Clark, and many others. The group's instrumentation of guitar, sax, bass, and drums casts a unique light on the arrangements that originally often didn't feature guitar. Neal Alger's Blue Note Quartet features Neal Alger on guitar, Scott Burns on saxophone, George Fludas on drums, and Jake Vinsel on bass.
