Samba Django is a songwriter and folk singer of traditional Fulani music who lives in Brussels, Belgium. His uncle, Senegalese artist Baaba Maal, took him under his wings and swiftly gave Samba a platform to make his mark in the international music scene.

Samba's trademark agility on the guitar along with his original compositions revitalized traditional music of Mauritania and Senegal and is reaching a wide spectrum of new devotees worldwide. Group Munial features members of Samba's Belgian band on kora and percussion.

Samba Django and Group Munial will give a workshop in the Thursday Workshop Series.
