BOX OFFICE: 773.728.6000 for reservations "Outstanding Michigan Celtic-jazz-bluegrass fiddle whiz..." - The Boston Globe Jeremy Kittel is a versatile award-winning fiddler who has performed on some of the most distinguished stages from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center to A Prairie Home Companion as a band leader. He is a full-time member of the Grammy Award-winning Turtle Island Quartet who also played a major role in Abigail Washburn's recent album City of Refuge. The band includes Josh Pinkham (mandolin), Simon Chrisman (hammered dulcimer) and Nathaniel Smith (cello) and promises a fiery blend of jazz, Celtic fiddling and sultry world grooves. Jonas Friddle, Maria McCullough, Dona Benkert and Al Ehrich will give a Concert String Band workshop for fiddle, mandolin, cello and hammer dulcimer in the Thursday Workshop Series.
