D-LUX is Haitian band based in the Chicagoland area playing Kompa, the style of music of the Island of Haiti. Kompa is a musical genre derived from African and European roots. The genre has been adopted and recognized as the national music of Haiti after a great Haitian musician (Nemours Jean Baptiste) created the rythm in 1957. D-LUX's musical style usually tingles the music senses of both the audience that loves good music and the one that loves to dance.
