Joropo is a fast traditional rhythm played on harp, bandola and cuatro accompanied by bass, cajón and maracas. Cimarrón fire up their brand of joropo with flawless virtuosity and a heart-stopping sense of drama. Los Guitarristas is a Chicago-based guitar quartet under the direction of Maestro Alfonso Chacon. A Los Guitarristas performance is a living history lesson of the melodic and rhythmic roots of Latin Music, and an awesome demonstration of the full breadth of expression of the guitar.
