Jim Craig plays guitar, mandolin and concertina - and is fluent in genres including folk, jazz, blues and jug band, the latter being a happy-go-lucky style of blues popular in the '40s.

Ed Holstein is a true legend of Chicago folk music. Co-owner of the fabled Holstein's music venue in the '70s and '80s with his late brother Fred Holstein, Ed is also a song stylist and storyteller of amazing depth and wit.

Mark Dvorak's roots are in Chicago, but since 1981, he's been criss-crossing the country performing, teaching and learning all the while. He's visited big cities where his concerts and recordings have been hailed as "a refreshing and significant portrait of the living folk tradition."

The Pickin' Bubs, Peggy Browning, Maura Lally and Louis (Mark) Mitchell, are friends who found each other in the hallways of the Old Town School of Folk Music. They've been studying and playing music together for going on twelve years. Their sound is rooted in traditional music, from country blues, to gospel, to old time and folk ballads and carried on in the originals penned by them.

"This group is, simply put, true to 'it' in so many ways you can't imagine them as anything but themselves. You will swear you are at their home sitting on the back porch laughing and singing with friends you have known forever." -- Bill Brickey of Bill Brickey's Emerging Artist Series.
