Since their debut in 1969, Steeleye Span have been one of the most influential names in British roots music. As pioneers of folk-rock, Steeleye Span changed the face of folk music forever, taking it into the pop stratosphere with gold records and world tours. At a period in their career when most bands are happy to settle down to rehashing past glories, Steeleye Span have pushed on with a succession of acclaimed albums, each seeing them re-define their classic sound.
A storyteller through song, Canadian singer Maria Dunn combines North American folk and country music with the influences of her Celtic heritage.
