Over the course of 11 solo albums and 2 more as co-leader of the Caribbean Jazz Project (with Paquito D'Rivera), Andy Narell has pioneered the role of the steel pan in contemporary music. He has recorded with artists as diverse as Marcus Miller, Chucho Valdes, Bela Fleck, and Aretha Franklin, and has performed as a featured guest with Tito Puente, Freddie Hubbard, and the Kronos Quartet. As a bandleader he has played hundreds of concerts and jazz festivals throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, the Caribbean, and South Africa. Join us for a rare solo performance from one of the world’s premiere Steel Pan artists.
