This Brooklyn-based band has attracted an enormous amount of attention since their 2006 debut album ÒSiempre Hay SalidaÓ. The enormous success of the album prompted features in Rolling Stone Mexico, The New Yorker and Billboard and launched tours in the USA, Mexico and Europe. Pistolera is known for melodic and danceable songs sung in Spanish and the strong political content of their lyrics addressing border issues, the plight of immigrants, and female strength.
