Unyielding to the vagaries of fashion, working entirely on their own terms and responding purely to their artistic muse, Lambchop have earned the considerable respect they now command.
"...lush melodies, hushed sing-speak vocals, magically beguiling lyrics...explore new, genre-bending, sonic landscapes." - Jambase

The Paper Hats is the musical alter ego of Nashville based guitarist William Tyler, long a touring and recording member of such outfits as Lambchop and the Silver Jews, as well as a contributor to albums by artists as diverse as Will Oldham, Candi Staton, Charlie Louvin, and Cortney Tidwell. Tyler is equally influenced by the great acoustic instrumentalists of the past like John Fahey and Davey Graham and the patient and meditative minimalism of Terry Riley and Gavin Bryars. This is music for deep listening and long, slow afternoons.
