The Old Town School of Folk Music in partnership with the Consulate General of the Netherlands presents world-renowned jazz pianist Amina Figarova and her sextet. Amina lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, but was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her talent and success in jazz composition and jazz piano performance have made her into one of the most sought after jazz acts in Europe.
Amina Figarova performs at many jazz festivals and jazz clubs around the world, such as The North Sea Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Capetown International Jazzfestival, Salvador Bahia Jazz Festival, Brasil, JakArt Festival, Indonesia, Yoshi's in Oakland, Blue Note jazz club New York, and has given concerts in Israel, Europe, United Arabs Emirates, Mexico, USA, Azerbaijan and more. She has many well-received recordings including her most recent work “Come Escape With Me”.
