Theater Classes

At the Old Town School of Folk Music, our theater teachers help each child cultivate their talent and potential through fun activities and exciting performance opportunities. As with all children's classes at Old Town School, there are no auditions, and everyone is welcome to participate in a non-competitive ensemble environment.

Make Believe 4 & 5 years
Improv Hour 6-8 years
Improv Hour 9-12 years
Actor's Studio 8-13 years

Original Children's Musicals

A cornerstone of Old Town School's theater program, our original musical plays have been developed especially for children ages 3 through 15 by Old Town School instructors. Classes are 60 or 80 minutes in length, and are limited to 10 or 12 students, depending on cast size. As with all children's classes at Old Town School, there is no audition required. All classes culminate in a final performance, which is open to the public.

Please note that our musicals Carla's Magic Drum (3 & 4 years) and Fantastic Farm (5 & 6 years) will be offered at the beginning of March. Registration begins on January 18th for continuing students, and on January 25th for new students.
