Brian O'Neill Camp Bio

Arts Mentor, Teen Arts Camp

Pronoun preference: he/him

Hi everyone! My name is Brian. I am originally from the Michigan mitten (don’t be surprised if I point to my hand when you ask about my hometown!). I have worked as a high school and middle school teacher for the past four years in Chicago, where I primarily taught math and music elective classes. I believe in lifelong learning, so that is why my current goals have led me back to studies in Music Education at DePaul University. I love working with youth choirs to create art that changes hearts. If Julie Andrews was here asking me to list a few of my favorite things, I would have to sing to her the following: drawing, painting, playing piano, singing, tiny houses, camping, jazz, running, and pentatonix. I look forward to getting to know the amazing campers this summer at Teen Arts Camp and creating some beautiful art!
