Join Badi Assad, reknowned singer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer from Sao Paolo Brazil, for this playful workshop. Explore new and creative ways to use your voice and body as an instrument using games and improvisation. Badi has performed in Chicago many times through her one woman show and as a part of Saffron Caravan, a project that brings artists from around the world together to build bridges through music. Originally from Sao Paolo, Brazil, Badi is an artist who mixes many different influences in her work. As a young artist, she learned that it was possible to play more than one instrument at the same time, as well as to produce more than one sound simultaneously with her voice. With influences from traditional ethnic music from different cultures to Brazilian popular music, as well as hip hop and beatboxing, her style is unique and fun!
