For experienced players, this mixed level class provides creative piano challenges to motivate and inspire young players. Become a confident reader of music on the grand staff; and discover the amazing world of piano and all you can create! Deconstruct chords, learn the rules of key signatures, understand various time signatures, and master music notation. Uncover how to play piano from reading a rock guitar chart, a familiar pop music song, the 12-bar Blues, or your own composition. Each week, add new songs to your songbag and work with other pianists in an ensemble setting. With the guidance of an accomplished pianist, giving personalized and differentiated instruction, you’ll progress at your own pace on piano assignments just for you. To begin this class, you must have just some experience with piano and note names. Click through to see each class’ leveling. If you’re working in Alfred Chord Approach: Book One, register for Level 1& 2; if you’re moving up from small group piano, register for Level 1 & 2. Questions about skill level?
