This workshop is an introduction to Swedish traditional music. Tunes, specific bowing techniques and ornamentation used in Scandinavian playing will be taught by the nyckelharpa player Anna Gustavsson (SWE). Learn about the tonality of Scandinavian fiddle music and what has influenced this rich tradition of dance tunes. All instruments are welcome, but the focus of the conversation and skills taught will be for violins and other bowed instruments.
