Learn slide guitar of the blues legends Robert Johnson and Johnny Shines. In this workshop, you will learn all you need to know to begin and advance your slide guitar playing and emotional expression. Songs will include If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day (R. Johnson) and Ramblin’ Blues (J. Shines) in the key of Open G tuning. Other topics covered will include types of slides, guitar setup, playing clean notes, rythmic patterns, vibrato and right and left hand damping techniques. Bring a slide and an audio or video recorder. This class is for beginner through intermediate slide players.
