In this class, we'll laugh, draw, and create as we explore how comics can be used as commentary. Students will play with writing and illustration as they experiment with the art of satire and hyperbole. We'll learn the basic steps of creating a comic as we make our own original editorial cartoons, discuss the history of political cartoons, and examine how static images and words are used to express opinions in modern media.
