This class explores folk-inspired and infused classical chamber music, and works that are based on folk tunes. Sharpen your skills in playing independent multiple parts, interpretation of style (folk vs. classical and how to successfully combine both), sight-reading, and a possible touch of improvisation in the form of cadenzas or built-in solo sections. This class is open to all advanced instrumentalists.
Pre-requisites: String players must be comfortable in upper positions and shifting and be proficient in double-stopping/double-stringing, and reading music. For other instrumentalists, be comfortable reading and playing from standard notation.
