Master folk and blues guitarist and Old Town School of Folk Music instructor Mark Dvorak shares his very practical approach to understanding the guitar fretboard. He will also demonstrates several simple techniques to help students develop a personal catalogue of picking and strumming styles.
Students will begin by identifying partial chord shapes up the neck while learning the importance of chord tones. Learning to create a solid rhythmic figure, keeping a rock-steady tempo, and exploring the basics of improvisation are all part of the mix.
